We are delighted to inform you that the 13th International Conference on Advanced Vibrational Spectroscopy (ICAVS13) and the 5th International Conference on Enhanced Spectroscopy (ICES5) will be held together in Xiamen, China, from 30th November – 5th December 2025.
The ICAVS conference encompasses a broad spectrum of vibrational spectroscopy disciplines, including mid- and near-infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and nonlinear techniques. Recent meetings include ICAVS8 in Austria (2015), ICAVS9 in Canada (2017), ICAVS10 in New Zealand (2019), and ICAVS11&12 in Poland (2021, 2023). The ICAVS conference has consistently maintained a format featuring 3 to 4 parallel sessions.
The ICES conference focuses on various aspects of enhanced spectroscopy, such as phenomena, development of methodologies, underlying mechanisms, applications, etc. As an international event in the field of enhanced spectroscopy, it has been held for 4 times, including ICES2012 in France, ICES2015 in Italy, ICES2017 in Germany, and ICES2019 in Canada. Single session tradition is kept throughout previous four conferences.
Therefore, the plenary sessions of ICAVS and ICES will be conducted jointly, followed by 4-5 parallel sessions with invited talks and oral presentations, while ICES will remain as a single session symposium. Poster sessions will also be scheduled as part of the scientific program.
China will host both two prestigious events for the first time!
The ICAVS-ICES aims at bringing together the academic and industrial researchers in all areas of vibrational spectroscopy, to present and discuss their latest results, exchange ideas and inspire new thoughts. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are very pleased to meet you all at the ICAVS-ICES in Xiamen!
